Yee Haw, YO!

So this week, we decided to do something a liiiiiittle different. We decided to take it over the bridge to Fort Walton Beach to The Block. The Block is 3 clubs in 1: Karaoke/Sports Block, Cell Block, and Country Block.

Though we never made it over to the Karaoke/Sports Block, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while attempting to line dance, ride the bull, and pretending that we were in a rap video.

Here is what else we had to say...

Most of us thought that the lighting, music and atmosphere was super fun, honky tonky, and rap-aliscious. However we aren't used to establishments where smoking is still allowed inside, so that caught us a little off guard. We may or may not have emphysema now.

It was ladies night, and they were offering $2 well and drafts from 9-11, and $6 VooDoo Bucket concoctions all night. We all agreed the bucket drink was just a bucket of sugar. They may have hit us later, but we don't know whether it was the bucket, or the all of the $2 drinks we tried to consume before 11. Either way, we'll have another!

This week, we added a specific answer regarding food... and since there wasn't any grub at The Block, the food was unanimously critiqued: FOOD? Who wants food when there is alcohol to drink?!?

Regarding Fare: The ladies' night prices were great for us and our pocketbooks! We didn't even have to ask boys to buy us drinks!

We had a couple of different bartenders. One was a girl, so we can't say too much about her, but we actually had a male tender for once! Some of us are single, some of us are not, but a majority decided NEXT!

Again, we were the prettiest people in the place, and definitely stood out in our country garb. Hey now! who doesn't love a costume and props?

We thought the bartenders were great and hardly ever had an empty drink! They were the kind of bartenders you want to work with and/or poke on facebook!

There wasn't really a view from The Block, but the view inside was pretty interesting. The rap video block was full of smoke and stripper poles, the honky tonk looked like a barn, and we couldn't really tell you what the Karaoke block looked like, but all we knew is that we wanted a picture in front of that bull!!
Here's proof:

The ladies' room was comparable to most bar restrooms. The lighting was poor, toilet paper had to be passed from stall to stall, everything was wet, and it was a little stinky. But hey dudes, we'll hide out in here until the metallic shirt cowboy goes away...

The parking was adequate because most of us got there early for drink specials. The stragglers complained about walking and valet.
Snobs.
(tee hee)

Overall, it was definitely a different experience than our usual routine, but certainly one of the most fun night's we've had together as the CCC. Once we have a few group line dancing, and stripper pole lessons, we'll definitely be back!

Forgot how we critique? Ger refreshed here.

See y'all this weekend at the LA Lounge, and Hurricane Lanes from 11-2 for $10 all you can bowl!
Feel free to challenge us, but be warned that you will lose.

LOCAL COLOR, LOCAL FLAVOR.

This week, a number of the gals were out of town, but as they say, the show must go on! The remaining CCC'ers made their way over to a local favorite- Harbor Docks. This is a favorite of ours, and a place we typically visit frequently, even outside (gasp!) of the CCC. Harbor Docks has some of the freshest seafood around and has a jammin' ladies night during the summer!

Though it wasn't ladies night, the ladies of the CCC had a craving- and it had to be fulfilled!
Using our critique method, this is what we had to say:

The ambiance wasn't perfect, but was just fine for the dead of winter, and all of the talking we do. It was slow, but the ambiance was still noted as good and fun!

The drinks were great, and we'll take another round!!! (please and thank you!)

The food was delicioso (as usual) and we want it in our belly NOW!!

The fare was a little higher than our usual CCC outings, but remember, there weren't any specials going on, so we, (gasp again!) paid full price- but worth it!

Our waitress was again female... where are all the hottie waiters in Destin hiding??

And again... we were the prettiest people in the place... it's a tough job, but someone has got to do it!!

The service critique was quite mixed. Some of us want to run home and add her as our facebook friend, and some of us thought he got scared and ran away. (with good reason though, we are pretty scary.)

The view, as always is fabulous. Who doesn't love dining right on the harbor?

The bathroom smelled like a portapotty and had bad lighting, but would be good enough to hide out from a creepster. But hey, what can you expect of a bathroom on the harbor?

Harbor Docks usually offers valet, but since it was a slow night, no valet was needed and there was a pleathora of parking spots to choose from! We chose the ones right up front... duh.

Needless to say, Harbor Docks just never lets us down and we will be back for more. Now if only summer would hurry up...

Our next adventure will be at The Block! See y'all there YO!

Eating and Drinking under the Palms

Drum roll please!
Here are the results of our first official critique!

Our first CCC meeting of the year took place at Sago. It's located in The Palms of Destin Resort and Conference Center.

If you are curious about our hardcore guidelines, click here.

Unanimously, the ambiance was critiqued as PERFECT. The lighting, people, music, drinks, and all the other stuff going on, went together in perfect harmony.

The drink specials were right on point. We happened to go on Ladies night where wells and house wine were only $1. This was a great and bad thing. But the answer is yes, we'll have another.

In regards to the grub, we had a mixed response-
most everyone enjoyed the food, but here are some comments that we had:
"in retrospect, I wish I had indulged on food, rather than all the wine on an empty stomach" (these answered are anonymous, but I have a feeling I know who answered this!)
"need's more share-friendly options!"
"the food was decent, but would like to see a better selection"

Everyone agreed that the fare for the food and drinks were fabulous!

We judge people, don't be afraid... be very afraid. However, our waitress was female, so we can't say too much; but she did have the cutest pony tail ever!

Whilst judging, we decided that we were the prettiest people in the place. Sorry! (not really.)

In regards to our service, our waitress was cute and fabulous. She handled our big-complicated-drunk-high maintenance-party pretty great and deserves a serious raise. A few of us had to wait a few minutes for a refill, but that's fine because it gave us more time to gossip. We also want our coworkers to be like her, and think we would all make great facebook friends!

Some of us agreed that the view from in the restaurant was nice and that it was the perfect backdrop for eleventy billion photos. Some thought the art was ugly, and a few others noted that pool season is right around the corner and we can't wait!

The ladies room was pretty much critiqued as decent. The lighting sucked, everything was wet, but all in all, it was good enough to hide out from the weirdos.

The parking wasn't ideal, but a few steps never killed anyone, did it?

Hey all you Happy Hour's out there... we're coming for you!

the CCC's hair is so big, because it's full of santa's secrets.

we planned a secret santa party back in december, drew names, bought presents, then met the complication of 13 women's schedules. we couldn't seem to find a date where everyone would be in town until late january. so with the permission of the absent, we went ahead and shared santa's secrets.
we held our first secret santa at Sago's ladies' night in The Palms Resort of Destin. (critique to follow)
we enjoyed $1 drinks, delicious food and the musical stylings of the one and only Mr. Kyle Lamonica
gifts were exchanged, laughs were shared, and most importantly our first visit to this particular ladies night was great and we will definitely be back. you have been warned.
the CCC likes football. but not alabama football. apparently saban's mother did not teach him that it was rude to point. BEAT BAMA!

jen bunny, iffy tiffy, and cammy cam.

mo mo and jen bunny.

candice holliday with 2 L's and lace face.
Kyle cares about the CCC and doesn't want them to fall. thank goodness he has awesome art skills to make sure we don't trip!

lookout for our critique of Sago!
